Jimmy Lee Band

The Band

Robert Zeas

Robert was raised in a home of musical interests and stumbled on an interest in bass playing as a concession his father offered while buying his elder brother a custom Les Paul at Bills Music House in Baltimore the winter of 1987.

Robert quickly learned from studio and live recordings of bands including Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Kansas, Aerosmith, The Beatles and Journey.  As his technique and style evolved, he followed Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones, Rush’s Geddy Lee and The Who’s John Entwistle- along with the unique styles of Level 42’s Mark King, and Jaco Pastorious and Stanley Clark.

Robert has performed in hundreds of venues in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Baltimore areas; with live performances adapting quickly thru improvisation and active listening.  Robert has recorded several tracks both as an artist in Suigeneris, Liquid Sky and as a hired studio musician with Heartbeat Station.

Jimmy Lee

Jimmy had had his first cheap acoustic guitar at age of 13, and he seriously started playing electric guitar at age of 16.

Influenced by the rock guitar legends such as Eric Clapton, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Akira Takasaki, Joe Satriani, Edward Van Halen and Gary Moore, his style of playing is sort of mixture of everything from ballad to hard rock.

Steve DuBos

Steve starting playing drums in 1980..yes, he was nine. During the early years, he spent as much time as possible playing along to his older brother’s albums. Everything from Little River Band and the Stones to J Geils, The Police, Boston, Styx and Fleetwood Mac. Later, he moved on to Rush, Led Zepplin, as well as big band jazz–really anything he could get to. Steve also played in school bands; concert band, marching band and jazz ensemble. In high school, Steve hooked up with anyone willing to jam, bringing he and Tito together. For two years Tito and Steve jammed anywhere they could, including a senior year blowout show in the cafeteria! Steve hung up his sticks in 1991 due to various reasons, though always retaining his love for music. He continued to immerse himself in music during a ten-year stint as a club and private party DJ in the greater metro DC area. After almost 20 years, he has dusted off the kit and is enjoying getting his chops back, culminating in his first live performance in 20 years this past September at Bangkok Blues in Falls Church.
